We are actively seeking a highly autonomous and passionate Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of the design and implementation of core features and critical infrastructure across our entire stack. Given our team's collaborative size, you'll have the unique opportunity to contribute significantly to all layers of our technology, making a tangible impact on our product and our users' experience from day one.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Build Intuitive Interfaces: Develop features across Node.js, React, and Postgres (TypeScript) to enable non-technical users to design sophisticated AI automations with ease.
- Explore Advanced AI: Contribute to exciting projects involving Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents, spanning from initial research and prototyping to full production releases.
- Shape Core Architecture: Play a key role in refining and evolving our core technology stack to effectively handle growing data volumes and usage needs, ensuring robust reliability and scalability.
- Iterate with Product & Design: Work in a tight, agile loop with our Product and Design teams to prototype solutions, gather user feedback, and efficiently deliver high-impact features.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 0-2 years of professional software development experience, with at least 1 year demonstrating full-stack responsibilities.
- BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfortable working on-site in New York City (4–5 days/week) to foster a close-knit, collaborative team environment.
- A proactive, self-motivated problem solver with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated experience in a typed environment (preferably TypeScript) across core technologies like Node.js, React, and Postgres.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Exposure to large-scale systems, including distributed systems, message queues, caching mechanisms, or ETL processes.
- Experience building or contributing to search/ranking components within Information Retrieval or Recommendation Systems.
- Familiarity with evaluating AI models or integrating multi-LLM workflows at a basic level (Applied AI).
- Prior experience in a startup or small team environment, comfortable wearing multiple hats and driving projects with minimal oversight.
