As a Social Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing social media strategies for our entertainment clients. This hybrid position, based in our London office for a minimum of two days a week (including Thursdays), offers an incredible opportunity to contribute to a growing, friendly, and diverse team that works hard and has fun together. You'll report directly to the VP of Social and be instrumental in delivering impactful campaigns and fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of community management, identifying and proactively "selling in" reactive engagement opportunities to clients.
  • Handle and manage crisis communications effectively and professionally.
  • Manage the content calendar, ensuring a diverse mix of content types and themes that align cohesively with the overall social strategy.
  • Contract and negotiate with influencers, ensuring optimal rates and developing comprehensive influencer briefs.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, lasting relationships with influencers and their agents.
  • Stay abreast of the latest social media trends, platform updates, and emerging features.
  • Regularly share insights and inspiration with the team through internal channels (e.g., inspo IG and WhatsApp groups).
  • Present new social media opportunities and their potential application to client accounts in bi-weekly sessions.
  • Proactively propose and "sell in" innovative social strategies to clients based on emerging trends and platform capabilities.
  • Oversee social media performance reporting, adding an additional layer of insightful analysis based on deep account knowledge.
  • Brief the insights team on data collection requirements clearly and concisely, articulating the hypothesis and rationale behind reporting objectives.
  • Actively identify opportunities to expand our services, client base, and overall offering.
  • Manage tasks for junior team members, empowering them to take ownership of their responsibilities.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members as needed, and advocate for additional resource requirements when necessary.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships within the immediate team and across the agency to enhance product delivery.
  • Reliably support the Account Director/Head of Social in the seamless execution of campaigns.
  • Apply fundamental marketing principles to all activities, demonstrating a deep understanding of target audiences and their channels.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in social account management, preferably within an agency setting or the entertainment industry (TV/Film/Gaming).
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to advocate effectively for your work and your clients.
  • Demonstrated reliability and a consistent ability to collaborate effectively with senior team members like Account Directors and Heads of Social.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of core marketing fundamentals, including audience identification and channel strategy.
  • Experience in influencer contracting, negotiation, and relationship management.
  • A proactive approach to staying current with social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to provide clear and concise data collection briefs and deliver insightful performance analysis.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring junior team members is a plus.
